Terms of Service
Last updated: October 6, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and OurRoster (“we”, “us”) covering your use of our website and our iOS and Android apps (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these terms.
Who can use OurRoster
You must be at least 18 to create an account. Parents and guardians manage their children's player profiles; children do not hold accounts. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.
Teams, roles, and your data
A team is run by its owner and admins. Coaches, parents, and players see only what their role allows. Team staff are responsible for the accuracy of the roster, schedule, and dues they manage. You keep ownership of what you post; you give us the limited license needed to store, display, and deliver it to the people you share it with.
Payments and donations
Each team is the merchant of record for its own dues and donations, collected through its own Stripe account; OurRoster never holds your team's funds. Card processing fees, any fee a payer elects to cover, and OurRoster's platform fee are shown before you confirm a payment. Refunds are issued by the team. Subscriptions to OurRoster plans renew automatically until canceled and can be managed from Billing.
Gate passes and sales tax
A team or league selling admission passes through OurRoster is the seller and merchant of record for those sales. If admission is taxable where its event is held, the host is responsible for having any required sales tax permit, setting the correct combined state and local rate for the venue, filing and paying the tax it collects, and claiming any exemption it qualifies for (for example, some nonprofit groups are exempt on part of their athletic ticket sales). Sales tax is added to the pass price, paid into the host's own payment account with the sale, and shown separately to the buyer; it is never part of OurRoster's fee. OurRoster provides a sales report to help with filing but does not collect, file or advise on sales tax.
Messages and other content you post
Team messaging is for coordinating youth sports. You agree not to post content that is harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, inappropriate for a family audience, unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights, and not to spam or impersonate others. We have zero tolerance for abuse.
- Report — long-press any message in the apps (or use the report option on the web) to flag it. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content or accounts that violate these terms.
- Block — you can block another user at any time; you will no longer see their messages.
- Team owners and admins can remove members and delete channels for their team.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service: no attempting to access other people's data, probing or disrupting our systems, scraping, reselling, or using the Service to break the law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
Ending your account
You can delete your account from Account settings at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what is removed and what financial records a team must retain. We may close accounts that violate these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
OurRoster is provided “as is” during our beta. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we are not responsible for decisions teams make using it, for content posted by users, or for payments between payers and teams. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We'll post the new version here with a new date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
